Our schools are facilitated by some of the most experienced backcountry packers in the intermountain region. We cover a variety of topics including an introduction to pack equipment, pack stock, balancing & securing a load, knots & hitches (including a diamond, double-diamond, and box hitch), as well as basic packing safety & equine first aid along the trail. We limit our Schools to approximately 12 people ensuring that one-on-one instruction is readily available.

Our Pack Schools begin at 9:00 am and we welcome you to stay and practice your hitches as long as you like. Lunch and snacks will be provided.

FEES:   We require a $50 non-refundable fee to hold your reservation; this is the only fee associated with the Pack School.

If you have a group of 8-12 people that are interested in learning more about packing, we will design a custom school that revolves around your schedule, interests, and needs.
